چکیده
We study the sample path regularity of the solution of a stochastic wave equation in spatial dimension d = 3. The driving noise is white in time and with a spatially homogeneous covariance defined as a product of a Riesz kernel and a smooth function. We prove that at any fixed time, a.s. the sample paths in the spatial variable belong to certain fractional Sobolev spaces. In addition, for any fixed x ∈ R, the sample paths in time are Hölder continuous functions. Hence, we obtain joint Hölder continuity in the time and space variables. Our results rely on a detailed analysis of properties of the stochastic integral used in the rigourous formulation of the spde, as introduced by Dalang and Mueller (2003). Sharp results on one and two dimensional space and time increments of generalized Riesz potentials are a crucial ingredient in the analysis of the problem. For spatial covariances given by Riesz kernels, we show that the Hölder exponents that we obtain are optimal.

6 The 1 - d stochastic wave equation driven by a fractional Brownian motion
In this paper, we develop a Young integration theory in dimension 2 which will allow us to solve a non-linear one dimensional wave equation driven by an arbitrary signal whose rectangular increments satisfy some Hölder regularity conditions, for some Hölder exponent greater than 1/2. This result will be applied to the infinite dimensional fractional Brownian motion.
متن کاملRegularity of the sample paths of a class of second order spde ’ s
We study the sample path regularity of the solutions of a class of spde’s which are second order in time and that includes the stochastic wave equation. Non-integer powers of the spatial Laplacian are allowed. The driving noise is white in time and spatially homogeneous. Continuing with the work initiated in Dalang and Mueller (2003), we prove that the solutions belong to a fractional L2-Sobole...
متن کاملThe non-linear stochastic wave equation in high dimensions
We propose an extension of Walsh’s classical martingale measure stochastic integral that makes it possible to integrate a general class of Schwartz distributions, which contains the fundamental solution of the wave equation, even in dimensions greater than 3. This leads to a square-integrable random-field solution to the non-linear stochastic wave equation in any dimension, in the case of a dri...
متن کاملOn the L q ( L p ) - regularity and Besov smoothness of stochastic parabolic equations on bounded Lipschitz domains ∗
We investigate the regularity of linear stochastic parabolic equations with zero Dirichlet boundary condition on bounded Lipschitz domains O ⊂ R with both theoretical and numerical purpose. We use N.V. Krylov’s framework of stochastic parabolic weighted Sobolev spaces H p,θ(O, T ). The summability parameters p and q in space and time may differ. Existence and uniqueness of solutions in these sp...

We set up the classical wave equation for a particle formed of an oscillatory massless charge together with its resulting electromagnetic waves, traveling in a potential field V. We further separate out from this a component equation describing the particle dynamics, which is equivalent to the Schrödinger equation. The solution in this paper is given for a constant V in one dimension only; sepa...
